Jen Strauser will teach

“Kawandi-Style Quilting”

Saturday, June 6, 10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Brooktondale Fire Hall

Learn about the African/West Indian tradition of Kawandi quilting, beginning with a short presentation on the tradition of Kawandi quilting and a list of resources for further exploration. We will work on a mini quilt, working from the outside into the middle. Traditional Kwandi sewing is done by hand, but Jen will also include instruction for machine-sewn Kawandi.
